Usually in my paper craft posts I give a free printable, but I'm expanding on these posts to include projects to make from paper. I'm hoping you like the expansion :-)

1. Download and print template.
2. Cut out template and trace around onto cardboard on the wrong side- red cardboard for the strawberry base, green for the leaves. Dont' forget to mark in the stars for later.
3. Cut out base and leaves with a sharp, pointy pair of scissors.
4. Using a sharp scoring knife, or the point of the scissors, and a ruler, score along the dotted lines on the right side of the cardboard. Fold along score lines, wrong sides facing inwards.
5. Place a strip of glue along tab and secure to opposite edge- tucking it under and making a cone shape. You can place a strip of sticky tape also, if needed.
6. Hole punch where the stars are marked.
7. Fill box with special treats.
8. Thread the string through the holes, gently bending each flap inwards to the centre.
9. Thread both string ends through the centre leaf and tie securely with a bow.

These are adorable and would be really cute made out of a stiff fabric so they could be stitched before turning them into boxes. I might need to try this...

Just for one weekend all the family were in Perth at the same time, so I printed out 3 sets of templates, purchased red and green card and some string. My three grand-daughters, 13, 10 and 10 and I sat at the table and we all made a strawberry favour box. It was a great success with four lovely 'strawberries' completed and, in addition, what a lovely nanna/grand-daughter day it was.
