Sorry for the delay - but here it is- the last Le Jardin embroidery for 2013.
The final embroidery in the quilt will be in February 2014.
With the outer borders.
This month's Block in Le Jardin Quilt is the Birdbath Block.
And our stitch for this month.... is..... Bullion Stitch Rose.
How gorgeous is that!
With some Bullion stitch or Lazy Daisy leaves...
Something I know you've all wanted to learn how to do!
So thread your needle for some very sweet roses!
Maybe a piece of practice fabric until you get the hang of doing them.
Practise those Bullion Stitch Roses- the more you practise the better you gret.
If you don't ever try - you'll never know how to do them.
They look very pretty decorating clothes, undies and anything you can think of.
Try one or two together- or a whole bunch. You'll be surprised at how easy they are to do!
And don't forget to use your milliner's (or straw) needle- No. 8 is good.
It will give you nice even Bullion knots.
Here's where we are up to so far...
There are three pages of instructions to download. Click on
"Download" under the page you want to download.

Happy Stitching!
Pretty! Thanks, Bronwyn.
I think I'll need to practice this stitch a few times - but it is so decorative.
Come on Christmas hols!! I need some play time :-)

Thankyou for your generosity and very clear teaching. I have just found these blocks on your website and can't wait to start stitching. Am looking forward to what you do next year for Girls Own Stitching Club. Many thanks Faye.

Hi!
I am very interested in making this quilt and learning all the stiches.
Can I still get them or is it too late.
I just found you on Pinterest and so ofcourse I pinned your site. I just don't know where to get the rest of the instructions. I looked in the archives and didn't see them.
Thanks so much for this one. It is beautiful.

Hi Carla,
Most of the blocks that are available are in the sidebar under "Girls own stitching club." There's 2 still patterns that I have to put the links into yet, you could go back through the archives if you desperately needed them. But there should be enough blocks in the "Girls own stitching club" to get you started.
The quilt should finish around Feb next year.
Let me know how you go.
