What a start to the year! Happy New Year and a huge Welcome back to a Red Brolly 2014! Hope you've all recovered from the Christmas break and are well and truely back into the swing of crafting and sewing for a new year.
We are back on the Red Brolly blog after a brief break. There are lots of exciting craft projects, free sewing patterns and tutorials, photography hints and tips for the crafters, and delicious recipes planned. We also will be continuing on with the Girls Own Stitching club (hope you caught up during the holidays!), lots of giveaways, advice on how to improve your sewing as well as tips for raising chickens. (Yes, for those who have been following the blog, I did go back and start again with my flock after a fox found his way into my coop just before Christmas!)
We also will have a several new categories on the Red Brolly blog. "The Organic Home" will feature tips for upcycling old items found around the home, raising chickens, gardening advice as well as ideas for living a more organic life. "Entertainment" will also return this year, featuring book and movie reviews, as well as where to find great sewing shops as well as the latest sewing trends for 2014.
Another new category which I'm very excited about will be "Little Red." This will feature craft activites to do with kids, free children's sewing patterns, delcious recipes to make which they'll love as well as organisational tips, book reviews and lots of other interesting topics and ideas.
Sound good?
Hope you'll keep checking back. Looking forward to crafting our way through 2014 together!
Sounds like it will be a very exciting year at Red Brolly!! Glad you are back. Happy New Year!

Love the sound of things to come.. I still haven't caught up with last year but I am looking forward to continuing on this year. I also love the sound of "Red Hen" I have a crafty little miss here, I hope you can include some beginner stitchery as she is starting to attempt a little and would love to encourage her more.
